Ginger loaf cake with rum caramel

Ingredients

  • 1½ cups (190 gr) all purpose flour
  • 1tbsp ground ginger
  • 1tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp ground cloves
  • ¼ tsp ground allspice
  • 1tsp salt
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ cup (120 ml) buttermilk
  • 2 tsp vanilla essence
  • 8 tbsp (115 gr) butter
  • 1 cup (200 gr) tightly packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup (230 ml) molasses
  • 2 large eggs
