- 4 allspice berries
- 1/2 small jalapeno, seeded and julienned
- 1 large sweet apple (your choice)
- 1 pound Yukon Gold potatoes (about 4 medium)
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt, or to taste

- Butter, vegetable oil or duck fat for frying
