Scallion Pancakes with Korean Dipping Sauc

Ingredients

  • * 1/4 c soy sauce
  • * 3 tbsp water
  • * 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • * 1 tsp sugar
  • * 1 tsp sesame oil
  • * 1/2 tsp sesame seed
  • * 1/4 tsp red pepper flake
  • * 2 tbsp thinly sliced green onion
  • * 1 jalapeno pepper, minced (optional)
  • for the scallion pancake:
  • * 6 green onion, trimmed into piece and halved
  • * 3/4 c flour
  • * 1 tsp sugar
  • * 1/2 tsp salt
  • * 1 tsp black pepper
  • * 1/2 c ice cold water
  • * 2 tbsp vegetable oil, divided
