I made this cake yesterday and it is so delicious. 5 stars.
Step 1:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch round cake pans.
Step 2:
In a large bowl, sift together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Step 3:
In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla extract until well combined.
Step 4:
Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined. Stir in the boiling water until the batter is smooth.
Step 5:
Divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Step 6:
Remove the cakes from the oven and let them cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Step 7:
Once the cakes are cool, spread a layer of hazelnut spread on top of one cake layer, then add a layer of whipped cream.
Step 8:
Place the second cake layer on top and repeat the process, adding more hazelnut spread and whipped cream as desired.
Step 9:
Top the cake with chopped hazelnuts and serve. Enjoy your chocolate hazelnut pull-me cake!
