Citrus Zest Graduation Cake

Ingredients
- 2 cups All-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups Granulated sugar
- 2 1/2 teaspoons Baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup, softened unsalted butter
- 4 large Eggs
- 1 cup Milk
- 2 tablespoons orange zest
- 2 tablespoons lemon zest
- 8 ounces, softened cream cheese
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
Instructions

Step 1:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

In another bowl, cream the softened butter with the sugar until light and fluffy.

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the orange and lemon zest.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk, and mix until just combined.

Pour the batter into greased cake pans and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
