Matcha Green Tea Layered Photo Cake

Ingredients
- 2 cups All-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups Granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons Baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup, softened unsalted butter
- 4 large Eggs
- 1 cup Milk
- 2 tablespoons matcha green tea powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- as needed food coloring (optional)
Instructions

Step 1:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add the softened butter and mix until crumbly.

Add the eggs, milk, matcha powder, and vanilla extract to the dry mixture. Mix until smooth.

Divide the batter evenly into two greased 9-inch round cake pans. Bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
