Zesty Orange Cream Birthday Cake

Ingredients
- 2 cups All-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups Granulated sugar
- 2 1/2 teaspoons Baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 4 large Eggs
- 2 tablespoons orange zest
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- for garnish orange slices
Instructions

Step 1:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

In another bowl, cream the butter until smooth, then gradually add the sugar and beat until light and fluffy.

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the orange zest and juice.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.

Pour the batter into greased cake pans and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Remove the cakes from the oven and let them cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
